The collection primarily documents NAMES Project AIDS Memorial Quilt events in Washington, D.C., and Southern California, and to a lesser extent, AIDS Walk Orange County and the Elections Committee of the County of Orange (ECCO).

Mike Moreno is an artist and activist who has been a volunteer manager and director for a number of AIDS and LGBTQ+ non-profit groups. The collection contains Moreno's records from his work, correspondence, personal materials, ephemera, and buttons and pins.
