Alphonzo Bell papers
Alphonzo Bell, Jr. (1914-2004) was a United States Congressman who represented the 27th and 28th Congressional Districts - which encompassed the communities of Santa Monica, Pacific Palisades, Brentwood, Bel Air, and West Los Angeles - between 1961 and 1977. Materials within the collection date from the 1930s to the 1980s and document Bell's political career.

Japanese Internment collection
The collection consists of copies of the Manzanar Free Press, the Information Bulletin published by the Japanese-American Relations Committee of the American Friends Service Committee, and various pamphlets and fliers published and/or distributed by the War Relocation Authority and various private social service agencies. The bulk of the material is sympathetic to the plight of the interned Japanese and their eventual return (resettlement) to their homes.
