Non-LGBTQ newspaper front page collection
Scope and Content
The collection consists of newspaper front pages, newspaper sections, and supermarket tabloids reporting stories on lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people or topics. The collection documents the transformation in the print media's coverage of LGBT issues and people from "sexual deviants" through the assassination of Harvey Milk to the acceptance of marriage rights.
Conditions Governing Access
The collection is open to researchers. There are no access restrictions.
Conditions Governing Use
All requests for permission to publish or quote from manuscripts must be submitted in writing to the ONE Archivist. Permission for publication is given on behalf of ONE National Gay and Lesbian Archives at USC Libraries as the owner of the physical items and is not intended to include or imply permission of the copyright holder, which must also be obtained.
The newspapers front pages were culled from the ONE Subject Files collection and donations from patrons.

The newspapers front pages were culled from the ONE Subject Files collection and donations from patrons.
