Non-LGBTQ newspaper front page collection
The collection consists of mainstream newspaper front pages and sections reporting on LGBT people or topics concerning LGBT people. The collection documents the transformation in the print media's coverage of LGBT people and concerns from reporting on "sexual deviants" through the assassination of Harvey Milk to the acceptance of marriage rights. The newspapers front pages were culled from the ONE Subject Files collection and donations from patrons.
Karen Peper video recordings
Video recordings (1979-2005) from filmmaker and attorney, Karen Peper, documenting a variety of LGBT-related events from the 1980s to the early 2000s, particularly LGBT community activities in Michigan. The collection includes footage from the Marches on Washington for LGBT rights, Gay Games events, the national tour of the NAMES Project AIDS Memorial Quilt, lesbian weddings, protest demonstrations, pride parades, and other events.
