The records, 1953-1988, primarily document the circulation and distribution of ONE Magazine from its first release in 1953 to its final publication in 1972. To a lesser extent, the records also track the circulation and distribution of books and other ONE Inc. serial publications. The circulation documents primarily consist of inventory and circulation accounting records. The distribution records consist of correspondence, permission requests, and half sheets and index cards tracking distributors’ financial accounts; and include letters that highlight difficulties with distributors, the postal service, and legal compliance. The international files include correspondence with Der Kreis (Switzerland) and with the International Committee for Sexual Equality (Holland).
