Historical Note
Caprica is a spin-off of the television series Battlestar Galactica. Its pilot was released on DVD in April 2009 and it debuted on SyFy in January 2010. The show was set in about 58 years prior to the events of BSG. The series was canceled in October 2010; in total, eighteen episodes (including the pilot) were produced. The series was developed by Ron Moore and his production partner David Eick, who were the show’s executive producers along with Jane Espenson.
