Sofi Khachmanyan and Elmira Adamian are master and apprentice artisans specializing in an Armenian style of embroidery known as Marash. They received a grant from the Alliance for California Traditional Arts. Included are Samuelian's notes on the pair and their work, as well as pictures of the two and a small sample of their work. There is also an article about a Marash embroiderer named Lily Vorperian.

Haig Patigian via Peter Garland, 1990-1998

Haig Patigian was a renowned architect who immigrated to the US from Armenia and established himself in San Francisco. He has created more public statues in the city than any other sculptor. Peter Garland is a writer and historian who has studied Patigian and his work for over a decade. Included are numerous articles on Patigian as well as pictures of him and his work. There is also extensive correspondence between Samuelian and Garland.
