Scope and Content From the Sub-Series:

Films produced in 1986 by the USC History Media Institute as part of an oral/video history of Captain G. Allan Hancock, funded by USC President Zumberge. The project was never completed, and the unedited videotapes were transferred to the President's office, and then to the Hancock Foundation Archive. Accompanied by the 1992 letter of transfer, and a script for the remembrance film.

Scope and Content From the Sub-Series:

The Foundation films consist of 739 containers of film (some boxes holding more than one reel) that chronicle many of the activities of the Foundation's scientists aboard the Velero IV, especially the activities of John Garth. Subjects include the Galapagos Islands, Mexico and South America, elephant seals and sea lions in California and Mexico, birds,and marine biology. An inventory of all the films is available.
