The collection includes newspaper clippings, mostly from the Los Angeles Times, that range from the 1920s to the 1980s. An issue of National Geographic commemorating Churchill included in the collection contains essays by people who knew him and recordings of his speeches. There are a few speeches by Jim Page to various clubs in Los Angeles. Page was one of Churchill's hosts during his 1929 visit.

This was the only visit he made to the American West, although it was not his only visit to the United States. Churchill arrived in Los Angeles on September 17th, spending nine nights in the Los Angeles area. Most of his stay in the city was as a guest of James R. Page at the Biltmore Hotel. The purpose of the trip, which started in Seattle and ended in New York, was to vacation and to promote Anglo-American cooperation.
