Abstract
George Harrison Whitney's research and correspondence regarding a visit made by Winston Churchill to Los Angeles in 1929. The collection includes newspaper clippings, mostly from the Los Angeles Times, that range from the 1920s to the 1980s. Winston Churchill spent three weeks in California in September of 1929, his only visit to the American West. He arrived in Los Angeles on September 17th, spending nine nights in the Los Angeles area.
