Advertisements, 1980s
Scope and Content
The advertisement series is arranged alphabetically by folder title. In order to find people willing to participate in the project, USC advertised in newspapers across the country looking for people willing to share their WWII experiences, as well as, their home movies and photographic images from the time period. Once the book was completed and the television special ready for air, the project's staff advertised in papers and on the radio about the upcoming special. The majority of this series include letters sent to the Homefront project in response to advertisements placed in newspapers seeking individuals who want to share their WWII experiences and participate in the project.
