Scope and Contents

This series contains photographs and articles about Hollywood history, actors, directors, screenwriters, and colleagues of Budd Schulberg. This series also includes articles written by Budd Schulberg about his Hollywood colleagues. Topics covered in this material include fight films, German exiles in Los Angeles, and the plights of writers during Schulberg's time. Individuals documented in this series include Elia Kazan, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Edward Dmytryck, Sol Lesser and the Lesser family, Ernest Hemingway, Carol Rapf, Upton Sinclair, Irving Paul Lazar, and Jesse L. Lasky.
