Scope and Contents

This binder includes interviews and correspondence with Budd Schulberg. There is also email correspondence about Nicholas Beck's book Budd Schulberg: A Bio-Bibliography (2001). There are articles and reviews about the adaptations of Frank Loesser's musicals. There is an obituary for Phil Gersh, one of the leading Hollywood agents in the 1940s and 1950s. This is an article remembering Robert Kennedy. There are numerous articles and correspondence commemorating Budd Schulberg including an article by Aaron Brookner called "Budd Schulberg's Last Fight." There are articles about the controversies around, the research behind, and the making of On the Waterfront (1954). There is also a pamphlet for the 1938 Dartmouth College Commencement and the 1969 Dartmouth College Bicentennial Case Commemorative Stamp Ceremony.
