George Hurrell, 1984, portraits by Helmut Newton, taken at Hurrell's home located at 6702 St. Clair Ave., North Hollywood, CA. He is seen posed in the den of his home in front of his famous posing screen that he used since 1929 and all during his time at MGM. He later (circa 1950) painted the screen in the surrealistic style...a favorite style of GH. The screen originally had 3 panels. He is seen holding an envelope containing rejected nudes for a Playboy Magazine shoot. 11 x 14" gelatin silver photograph.
