The USC Davis School of Gerontology records consist of reports, contracts, guidelines, plans, grant applications, publicity, and publications, 1964-1987, that chronicle the development of Gerontology at USC. Erected as a tribute to Ethel Percy Andrus, the Andrus Gerontology Center is committed to understanding aging and preparing professionals to work in an aging society. Founded in 1975, the Leonard Davis School is the nation's first professional School of Gerontology. With its own faculty representing various disciplines, the School is able to offer students a wide range of scientific and professional Gerontology courses.
