Scope and Contents
Richard Nixon's 1962 gubernatorial campaign and election media and press relations subseries contains press releases, transcripts, clippings, notes, photographs, and ephemera, 1961-1963 (bulk 1962), generated, collected, and used by Herbert G. Klein during the California gubernatorial campaign and election. The bulk of the records consist of press releases issued by Klein and his staff during the campaign. Also included are clippings about the campaign, vote estimates, and election guides.
