Scope and Content

Richard Nixon's 1962 gubernatorial campaign and election series consists of correspondence, memorandums, clippings, public opinion polls, questionnaires, pamphlets, notes, invoices, receipts, ephemera, reports press releases, transcripts, photographs, motion pictures, and ephemera 1950-1963 (bulk 1961-1962), created, generated, collected and used by Herbert G. Klein during the course of daily campaign activities. Included are memorandums from Richard Nixon to Klein; personal letters to Klein regarding his performance during the campaign; correspondence and memorandums relating to publicity and campaign coverage; voting information; campaign materials; press releases issued by Klein and his staff during the campaign; and clippings about the campaign.
