Scope and Contents
Richard Nixon's 1962 gubernatorial campaign and election working files subseries contains correspondence, memorandums, clippings, pamphlets, reports, and notes, 195o-1963 (bulk 1961-1962), created, generated, collected and used by Herbert G. Klein during the course of daily campaign activities. Included are memorandums from Richard Nixon to Klein; personal letters to Klein from colleagues and the general public praising his performance during the campaign; correspondence and memorandums relating to publicity and campaign coverage; requests for copies of speeches and articles; information on Nixon telethons; and voting information.
