Lucille Lortel clippings and correspondence
This collection consists of letters, clippings, and playbills sent from theatre producer Lucille Lortel to her friend, actress Victoria Horne Oakie.
Booth Tarkington playbills collection
This 10 item collection consists of playbills for productions of plays by, or adapted from stories by, Booth Tarkington. Tarkington is best remembered for his Pulitzer Prize-winning novels "The Magnificent Ambersons" and "Alice Adams", and is only one of three American authors to win the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction more than once.
Theater playbills
This collection primarily consists of twentieth century theater programs from New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, and London. However, it also includes nineteenth century prompt books, souvenir programs, and theater programs from the Midwest (especially Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota).
Theater scrapbooks collection
Two scrapbooks containing newspaper clippings, theater reviews, interviews, obituaries, cast lists, programs, and other material pertaining to New York theatrical life, circa 1889-1904. A handwritten note on the inside cover of one of the scrapbooks states: "Property of Charles W. Aeaman / [address in Los Angeles, CA] / April 5, 1944."
