This small collection contains the papers of American casting director Phil Friedman (died 1974). The collection includes books, casting directories, photographs, studio publicity shots, correspondence, pamphlets, clippings, and miscellaneous articles. Much of the material reflects Friedman's work as a casting director from the mid 1920s through the 1940s.
