Crystal City publications
This collection consists of Crystal City Chatters, the Crystal City Internment Camp publication, as well as newspapers, books, and photographs. These include a 50th anniversary reunion book of Crystal City Internment Camp and a book by Mr. Furukochi written and illustrated by hand during his internment in Santa Fe, New Mexico that he gifted to Taro George Masuda.

Japanese Internment collection
The collection consists of copies of the Manzanar Free Press, the Information Bulletin published by the Japanese-American Relations Committee of the American Friends Service Committee, and various pamphlets and fliers published and/or distributed by the War Relocation Authority and various private social service agencies. The bulk of the material is sympathetic to the plight of the interned Japanese and their eventual return (resettlement) to their homes.
Tamotsu Shibutani papers
This collection chiefly consists of the professional papers of Japanese-American sociologist and professor Tamotsu Shibutani (1920-2004). The bulk of the collection relates to Shibutani’s academic career at the University of California, Santa Barbara, in the form of research and writing materials, course files, and professional correspondence. In addition, there are photograph albums of his mother, Taka Shibutani (1892-1986), dating from the early 1900s to 1980s.
World War I and World War II periodicals and ephemera collection
This collection includes pamphlets, booklets, posters, periodicals, and literature regarding the United States involvement and sentiments of World War I, World War II, and the Vietnam War.
