The B.L. Engineering Inc. archive contains the papers of the civil engineering firm B.L. Engineering, Inc., including contracts, project files, financial records, plans and drawings. The firm, founded in 1969 and owned by the Cuban American Carlos Sebastian Lorente, worked on projects throughout Los Angeles and the region.
Collection consists of 550 items of sheet music dating from 1924; screenplays and miscellaneous material including budgets, correspondence, contracts and advertising brochures related to films that composer Mack David (1912-1993) had worked on.
Aviation memorabilia, photographs, newspaper clippings; first day airmail covers (stamped envelopes). Arthur Beggs (USC graduate) was a pioneer of air transportation on West Coast. He was general sales manager for Western Air 1928-1935. In 1935 he became sales manager for American Airlines.
