Organizational records, meeting agenda and minutes, reports, correspondence, political campaign records, bylaws, clippings and other material, 1986-1993, from Orange County AIDS activist, Dennis Cabaret. The collection includes material from the Lobby for Individual Freedom and Equality (LIFE AIDS Lobby), the Log Cabin Republican Club, the Elections Committee of the County of Orange (ECCO), and other gay and AIDS activist organizations.
Don Collins photographs include images of Ray Broshears at the Christopher Steet West pride parade, June 1972, and of Phillip Burton, William E. Beardemphl, William Milliard, Eldo Powell, and John Foran speaking at candidates night at the Gay Voters League, October 1972.
The Municipal Elections Committee of Los Angeles records document the business functions, fundraising operations, and outreach programs of the political action committee during its existence from 1977-1991. The bulk of the collection comprises board meeting minutes, agendas, and financial reports, as well as correspondence to and from political figures lobbying for support of gay and lesbian rights.
Correspondence, promotional material, clippings, California legislature bills, financial records, and photographs documenting the lobbying efforts of George Raya, bulk 1975-1979. Raya lobbied the California State Legislature regarding the consensual sex (AB 489) and employment discrimination (AB 633) bills and was a part of the 1977 National Gay Task Force meeting at the White House.
