The collection comprises prints of photographs by gay photographer and artist Andrew J. Epstein. The majority of the materials, including photographs and text panels, were part of the 2009 exhibition "Queer Culture: The Photographs of A.J. Epstein." The photographs document LGBT communities in Chicago, New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles, 1968-2009.

Strom was a bodybuilder and model for gay erotica, most notably for his own company Bryx International.
