Emerging from the 1979 March on Washington and the 1980 March on Sacramento, the committee worked to build the lesbian and gay rights movement.
Tom Mertz collection on Queer Nation
Press material, flyers, clippings, correspondence, notes, protest signs, audiocassettes, and a VHS videocassette from Tom Mertz documenting the activities of the Los Angeles chapter of Queer Nation, 1990-2000. The collection documents the actions Queer Nation/LA organized and the media attention it received, including a zap on the Arsenio Hall Show in 1991.

Reverend Troy Deroy Perry is an American religious leader, gay rights and human rights activist, and founder of the Metropolitan Community Churches (MCC), the first church specifically aimed at ministering to the LGBTQ community. His collection (1906-2015) includes documents, correspondence, photographs, ephemera, realia, audiovisual materials, and books related to his personal life, his work with the MCC, and his activism.
Ernie Potvin papers
Writings, photographs, correspondence, clippings, mailing lists, pamphlets, flyers, graphic art, award certificates, videotapes, and other material from gay activist Ernie Potvin, 1947-1998. Potvin was a founder of Puerto Rico's first gay and lesbian rights organization in 1972. The bulk of the collection documents Potvin's gay activism in Los Angeles and Puerto Rico.

Tony Reyes was a Los Angeles based entertainer and a founding member of ONE Incorporated with his partner Don Slater. This collection primarily consists of music recordings, photographs, newspaper clippings, letters, and clothing regarding Reyes' entertainment career, but does also include personal travel and art photographs as well as pre-1964 ONE Incorporated event recordings.

Reverend Dan Smith is a pastor and LGBTQ+ activist. The collection is comprised largely of materials related to Smith's 35+ years as the pastor of the West Hollywood Presbyterian Church (later the West Hollywood United Church of Christ) and his advocacy and activism both within and without the church. The collection includes administrative records, sermons, programs, correspondence, publications, and ephemera.
