Abstract

The Association of Trojan League records consists of meeting materials (agendas, reports, etc.), scholarship information, and President's reports, documenting the history and activities of the Association. The Association of Trojan Leagues was the umbrella organization for the seven alumnae Trojan Leagues throughout Southern California. The ATL was disbanded in 2018 following a reorganization of USC's alumnae organizations.

Abstract

Scrapbook of USC student Margaret Bryant, who attended USC from 1931-1934, earning Bachelor's and Master's degrees in English. The scrapbook, stamped with her name on the cover, contains clippings, programs, invitations, forms, letters, photographs, and miscellaneous other ephemera collected by Margaret during her time at USC.

Abstract

This small collection of memorabilia is comprised of high school and college photographs of Owen, several photographs of him in military uniform as well as of the destroyer named for him, citations from the Secretary of the Navy for the squadron's heroism, a Purple Heart certificate, and diplomas from Los Angeles High School as well as USC. Many of the naval documents and certificates are very tightly rolled as they were stored in a narrow tube.

Abstract Helen Walker Truesdell was a poet and literary scholar, as well as an alumnus of USC. Born in 1897, she attended Los Angeles Polytechnic High where she was the Editor-in-Chief of the school's quarterly literary magazine. After graduation in 1914, she began her studies at USC from which she obtained her B.A. (magna cum laude) in 1918. She then obtained her high school teaching credential and a master's degree (also from USC), later also earning an additional teaching diploma in 1929 for...
