Printed ephemera collected by the donor's aunt on a trip to Germany in 1936. Includes a guidebook for Hamburg, 2 postcards and a brochure for the Berlin Central-Hotel, events calendar for the week of July 7-13, 1936 for Berlin, a menu for Das Haus der deutschen Heimat restaurant, a magazine of the Berlin Tourist Association for the week of July 7-13, 1936, and two radio news bulletins from aboard the M.S. Batory dated July 4th and July 6th, 1936.

William C. Herbert papers

Abstract

The William C. Herbert papers was brought to USC during the 1990s via Associate Dean for Development and Law School Historian John (Tom) Tomlinson whose expertise includes the history of USC. Though the collection's focus is the correspondence between Herbert and his mother during World War II when he was overseas, at some point later, Herbert studied and graduated from USC with a B.S. in Social Studies. Gladys Waddingham (1900-1997) was an author and Spanish teacher at Inglewood High School. The Gladys Waddingham collection contains materials collected during Waddingham's travels to Spain, Mexico, Guatemala, and other countries -- mostly during the 1950s. Included in the collection are artifacts, clothing and textiles, antique pottery, visual grammar cards, sheet music, postcards, dolls, and other material.
