This collection of primarily California-related materials was the provenance of Mrs. Walter K. Towers, with some materials from Berenice Towers. Over the span of more than forty years, they saved clippings, magazines, small publications, maps, and other ephemera chiefly on California with an emphasis on Southern California.

Printed ephemera collected by the donor's aunt on a trip to Germany in 1936. Includes a guidebook for Hamburg, 2 postcards and a brochure for the Berlin Central-Hotel, events calendar for the week of July 7-13, 1936 for Berlin, a menu for Das Haus der deutschen Heimat restaurant, a magazine of the Berlin Tourist Association for the week of July 7-13, 1936, and two radio news bulletins from aboard the M.S. Batory dated July 4th and July 6th, 1936.

Abstract The Johnny Tolbert letters is a collection of 151 letters and four Western Union telgrams sent from United States Army soldier Johnny Tolbert (1924-1989), also known as Johnnie Clifton or J.C., to Ruth Mae Clennell (1925-2000) from San Pedro, California between 1943-1946. Tolbert met Clennell on September 2, 1943, the night before his deployment to the South Pacific. Thesa Jolly was an American volunteer of the Peace Corps in Korea from July 1972-1974. Her father, Donald Jolly, was a Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. This small collection comprises primarily correspondence, clippings, brochures, guides, memos, and articles relating both personally and professionally to Thesa and Donald Jolly. The collection also includes various forms of ephemera, photos, slides, and a few books.

The Arthur Mansback papers consists of letters, postcards, telegrams, photographs, training materials, and printed ephemera created and collected by Private Arthur Mansback during his tour of duty in the United States Army Expeditionary Forces in France during the second half of 1918. The letters, in conjunction with Mansback's training materials and the postcards he collected, provide a broad overview of the daily life of an American foot soldier during the last months of World War I.
