John Callahan was an activist, educator, actor, producer, director, and co-founder of the gay and bisexual rap group Age of Consent. His collection, 1930-2013, consists of personal papers, theatrical production materials, teaching materials, photographs, and audio recordings for Age of Consent.
Early executive committee minutes, performance budgets, programs, flyers, press kits, photographs, correspondence, and newspaper clippings, including reviews, documenting the activities of the Celebration Theatre, 1982-2006. The collection consists of materials from the collections of Jim Kepner, the first Vice Chairman, of Robert Schrock, a former artistic director, and of the Purple Circuit, an information clearinghouse for gay and lesbian theater, founded by Bill Kaiser.
Scripts, journals, correspondence, flyers, programs, press releases, reviews, research materials, photographic negatives, publicity stills, and other materials, 1979 to 1995, relating to playwright Jeff Hagedorn, his production company, SYZYGY, and his internationally produced theatrical works and video productions.
This collection consists of scripts of plays and musicals written by Clint Jefferies and recordings of performances of these pieces by Wings Theatre Company of New York City.
