Gay Games Collection
Programs, clippings, flyers, correspondence, articles, news releases, competition schedules, competition results, advertising pamphlets, graphic design documents, and notebooks documenting the Gay Games (formerly the Gay Athletic Games), an athletic event founded in 1982 by Tom Waddell and held in various locations in the United States and abroad at four year intervals between 1982 and 2010.
Karen Peper video recordings
Video recordings (1979-2005) from filmmaker and attorney, Karen Peper, documenting a variety of LGBT-related events from the 1980s to the early 2000s, particularly LGBT community activities in Michigan. The collection includes footage from the Marches on Washington for LGBT rights, Gay Games events, the national tour of the NAMES Project AIDS Memorial Quilt, lesbian weddings, protest demonstrations, pride parades, and other events.
Stephen Stewart photographs
Photographs and the resulting published work documenting icons, iconic places, and events of the United States lesbian and gay movement, 1982-1984. The collection primarily consists of Stephen Stewart's published and unpublished black and white photographs from his work, Positive Image: A Portrait of Gay America, along with other Stewart photographs.
