Abstract This collection consists of documents from the 299th Infantry Division of the German Wehrmacht. The 299th Infantry Division was formed in February 1940 as part of the 8th Wave. Its fought primarily in France from 1940 to 1941 and then moved to the Eastern Front, where it was destroyed in July 1944 and was disbanded April 1945. A collection of advertising fliers, brochures, booklets and catalogs for household appliances and products, all aimed specifically at women, dating from the 1860s to the 1930s. The collection includes trade catalogs for heating sources, stoves, porcelain sinks, vacuums, "wear-ever" cookware, carpet sweepers, irons, wringers, and "ready to eat" food products; fliers for labor-saving laundry soap, and a dryer that dries without a wringer; a commercial laundry price list; and brochures.

Abstract

The Association of Trojan League records consists of meeting materials (agendas, reports, etc.), scholarship information, and President's reports, documenting the history and activities of the Association. The Association of Trojan Leagues was the umbrella organization for the seven alumnae Trojan Leagues throughout Southern California. The ATL was disbanded in 2018 following a reorganization of USC's alumnae organizations.

Abstract

Collection of broadside ballads from England. Broadside (or broadsheet) ballads were one of the most common forms of printed material produced between the 16th and 19th centuries in England, Ireland, and North America. They centered on popular subject matter such as moral advice, current events and politics, satire, comedy, and crime and were sold in large numbers on street corner and at fairs, and pinned to the walls of ale houses and other public places.

The Yvonne Brathwaite Burke papers contain the records of the political activities of Yvonne Brathwaite Burke, University of Southern California Gould Law School alumna, state and federal legislator, and county official. Included are records from Burke's tenure in the California Assembly (1966-1972), U.S. Congress (1973-1978), and the Los Angeles Angeles County Board of Supervisor (1979-1980). Records also include her campaign for California State Attorney General (1978).
