Five letters, plus two envelopes postmarked El Cajon and Los Angeles, written by Cornelia Ryan (later Yates) to her friend Annie Upham in Boston, 1885-1894. The letters document Cornelia's transcontinental train trip and experiences after settling in Southern California. The letters were written from Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, and Anaheim, and describe Cornelia's day to day experiences both on the journey west and her life in Southern California after she settles.
General Leland R. Scofield collection of 143rd Field Artillery and Mexican Revolution documents and photographs
Photographs, documents, and letters from and about Batteries A, B and D of the 143rd Field Artillery, which participated in the U.S. Army campaign against Pancho Villa in northern Mexico in 1916.
