Robert Clark, a gay rights activist from the St. Louis area, lived with his partner Tom Gibbons for over 50 years.

Abstract
The bulk of the collection consists of the photograph albums of Matthew Schmidt and Albert Antunes (pseudonyms: Matthew and Buddy of Glendale). The early albums document the Los Angeles non-bar gay scene from the mid-1960s to mid-1970s, and contain many photographs of the elaborate costume parties the couple threw at their home.
