Abstract

USC Lambda Alumni Association records, vacation scrapbooks, gay theater show fliers, photographs and other documents from University of Southern California alum and educator Doug Elliott (1924-2008). The collection contains fliers and programs for the Highways Performance Space, Celebration Theatre, the Gay Games and other gay organizations. Photographs document Elliott's various trips abroad and in the United States.

Abstract

Play programs, playbills, flyers, correspondence, interview transcripts, clippings, publicity photographs, negatives, and other material, 1957-1984, documenting the career of playwright, director, and gay activist Doric Wilson. Wilson was a pioneer of the alternative theater movement in New York during the early 1960s, and in 1974, he co-founded The Other Side of Silence (TOSOS), the first professional gay theater company in New York City.
