Abstract
Manuscripts, correspondence, photographs, news clippings and other materials from lesbian writer Cleve Marie Boutell (1918-2011). The bulk of the collection is drafts of fictional works by Cleve Boutell. There is also correspondence with her lesbian sister Hortense "Bo" Boutell (1913-2006), a lieutenant colonel and the first female logistician in the United States Army.

The correspondence contains letters between Herbert and Doyle written between 1944 and 1996 with the bulk of the letters being exchanged during World War 2 while they were stationed separately in the Women's Army Corps.
