The David Hong papers primarily consist of materials from the Gay Asian Pacific Support Network (GAPSN) and other gay Asian organizations and conferences. These items include event flyers, programs, event schedules, brochures, meeting agendas, financial records, and correspondence.

Permission for publication is given on behalf of ONE National Gay and Lesbian Archives at USC Libraries as the owner of the physical items and is not intended to include or imply permission of the copyright holder, which must also be obtained.

Biographical / Historical

David Hong is one of the founding members of the Gay Asian Pacific Support Network (GAPSN). He also served as the publications coordinator, newsletter editor, membership coordinator, and Asian Pacific Organization Liason Coordinator for GAPSN. In addition to his work with GAPSN he served as the the delegate-at-large, publications coordinator, and the newsletter editor for Asian/Pacific Gays and Friends. He also directed or assisted other gay Asian Pacific Islander organizations with their stage productions and programs.

Abstract

The David Hong papers consist of material, 1984-2004, collected by Gay Asian Pacific Support Network (GAPSN) founding member David Hong. This collection consists mostly of materials from GAPSN, such as event flyers, correspondence, and meeting agendas, as well as papers from other gay Asian organizations and conferences, such as the International Friendship Weekend.
