Scope and Contents
The collection comprises art work, correspondence, event flyers, notes, clippings, financial records, and publicity material, 1990-2002, from the New York City Radical Faeries. The bulk of the collection is original art work and editorial content used for the group's fliers and Faerie Gram newsletter.

All requests for permission to publish or quote from manuscripts must be submitted in writing to the ONE Archivist. Permission for publication is given on behalf of ONE National Gay and Lesbian Archives at USC Libraries as the owner of the physical items and is not intended to include or imply permission of the copyright holder, which must also be obtained.
Historical Note
In the late-1970s, gay rights pioneer Harry Hay and his partner John Burnside were among the co-founders of the Radical Faeries, a "New Age tribal spiritual movement" that organized gay consciousness-building retreats in scenic natural settings. A New York City group formed, circa 1979. Throughout the 1990s, the group distributed the newsletter, Faerie Gram.
