Administrative history

Each year, the UCLA Gay Students Union organized five days of speeches and panels for Gay Awareness Week to focus on "the problems of gay people in today's society" (UCLA Daily Bruin cover story, February 24, 1976). Speakers and panelists from 1974-1976 include Vito Russo, Patricia Nell Warren, Christopher Isherwood, Laud Humphreys, John Howard, C.A. Trip, Gerald Davison, Elaine Noble, Louis West, Jeff Richards, Al Gordon, Tom Coleman, Jay Fisher, Walter Blumoff, Terry O'Brien, Newt Deiter, Larry Long, Betty Berzon, Jeanne Barney, Mark Jone, Jim Kepner, Enric Morello, Eric Stiles, Goldie Glitters, Glenn Erickson, Ben Teller, Luke Johnson, David Goodstein, Christopher Larkin, Paul Mariah, Steven Grossman, Troy Perry, Bud Dunz, Bob Sirico, Dave Johnson, Ed Cult, Dorr Legg, Morris Kight, Don Kilhefner, David Glasscock, Mike Manning, Charles Shively, Rudy Eaton, Gary Steele, Fred Halstead, and Dave Johnson among others.
