The series is comprised of records, documents, publications and other materials related to the United Presbyterian Church, the overarching body governing all Prebyterian Churches in the United States. It includes materials related to Reverend Smith's work as part of the Special committee to Study Human Sexuality and the committee’s report, “Keeping Body and Soul Together: Sexuality, Spirituality and Social Justice"; relationships between WHPC and UPC; and relationships between WHPC and other churches.
