Scope and Contents
Contents include papers, correspondence, and photographs from close friend Robert Arthaud (1925-2008), who worked as a film actor under the name Robert Arthur in 1940s and 1950s in Hollywood. Arthur, a gay man, was closeted at the time of his acting career and later moved to Washington to start an insurance business and join the Log Cabin Republicans. Wood and Arthur wrote each other regularly. Fairbanks often wrote articles about Arthur's career and later published Arthur's memoir posthumously.
