Scope and Contents
From the Series:
The bulk of these records document Rocco's operation of the Hawaii Island Theatre/Akebono Theatre and Mount View Theatre. The theaters screened motion pictures and hosted stage performances. The series also documents community efforts to foster business and improve local infrastructure including electrification and road construction. The series also includes clippings of a column Rocco wrote for a local paper and stories related to the Rocco's community involvement.
