Scope and Contents

This subseries comprises 104 audiocassettes, circa 1971-1990, the bulk of which are interviews with gay pioneering activist Harry Hay. The audiocassettes also include recordings from a Radical Faerie event, various gay and lesbian events, poetry readings, and performances from gay singers and musicians.

The collection is open to researchers. The original films in this collection are deposited in conjunction with the Outfest Legacy Project at the UCLA Film and Television Archive. Advance notice is required for researchers wishing to access these materials.
