Scope and Contents
This series contains screenplays, manuscripts, and stage adaptations of Silverthorn's original and adapted writings including Campus Faggot, Silverthorn’s coming-out story. Cookie, a tragic fictional autobiography, has numerous iterations as a manuscript, screenplay, and monologue. The bulk of the series are notes, research, and outlines for the “Satan Trilogy,” including drafts of the first book, Beelzebub as a manuscript and screenplay. Correspondence and notes between Silverthorn and Ray Bradbury discuss his screen adaptation of Frost and Fire. Notes and ideas for shorter or future projects are included.

Conditions Governing Access
The collection is open to researchers. The original reels of film in this collection (Series 5) are deposited in conjunction with the Outfest Legacy Project at the UCLA Film & Television Archive. Advance notice is required for researchers wishing to access the films.
