Administrative history

The social service activities of ONE Inc. as stated in the articles of incorporation aimed "to promote the integration into society of persons whose behavior varies from current moral and social standards." Besides providing assistance and advice through correspondence, when ONE Inc. opened its office at 232 South Hill Street in November 1953, the staff also offered face-to-face peer counseling. ONE Inc. offered assistance for "personal, employment, legal, family, housing, and other problems" (ONE thirty year celebration program). By the late 1970s the Social Service Division had largely ceased as an entity of ONE Inc.
