Scope and Contents
The records consist of flyers and bulk mailings that promoted events, news, travel, meetings, and fundraising for ONE Inc., 1952-1994. The materials include brochures and pamphlets about ONE Inc., press releases, news releases (including those issued from the short-lived ONE News Service), promotion of ONE sponsored and/or hosted events, and requests for funds. The records document the activities of the Publications, Education, Library, Research, and Social Service Divisions as well as the activities of the ONE World Travel Club, Institute for the Study of Human Resources, and satellite offices. Cinemattachine promotional materials are included from 1976 as are Pat Rocco’s ONE Adventure promotional materials from 1973.
The ONE News Service announcement of ONE Inc.'s Supreme Court victory can be found in the 1958 file. The announcement of the Los Angeles Police Chief Edward Davis' slander against gays can be found in the 1973 file. Duplication should be expected.
