Series Scope and Content
This series comprises minutes, correspondence, flyers, negatives, legal papers, resource material and other records relating to the Los Angeles Parents and Friends of Gays (PFG), the parent group founded by Adele and Lawrence Starr in 1976, which later became the Los Angeles chapter and national headquarters of PFLAG. The materials document PFG's creation of informational material for distribution; as well as the group's advocacy activities, such as working with the Parent Teachers Association and participating in the 1979 March on Washington and the 1980 White House Conference on Families.
