The sporting events include the annual Gymfest at Santa Monica Beach; Gay Games 3 (Vancouver, 1990), 4 (New York, 1994), and 5 (Amsterdam, 1998); and various swim meets, and lifeguard and bodybuilding contests in Southern California. The Gay Pride events include Christopher Street West in Los Angeles, pride parades in San Francisco, Long Beach, and San Diego, Stonewall 25 (1994) in New York, Christopher Street Day celebrations in Germany (from 1996), and various celebrations in Thailand (from 1998). Photographs of the annual International Friendship Weekend (from 1996) document the activities of the gay Asian Pacific community and its friends. Miscellaneous photographs include a candid shot of Michael Kearns at Christopher Street West, Los Angeles, in 1972, and of Frank Kameny in Washington, DC, in 1976, as well as the ACLU Los Angeles Gay Rights Chapter Awards Banquet in 1978, a set of alphabetically arranged gay Asian men, and a small number of nudes.
