This subseries comprises administrative records, financial records, manuscripts, publications and other material related to Pan-Graphic Press, Inc., a publishing and book service company that Call began with Donald S. Lucas in 1954. Pan-Graphic Press' primary business activity was publishing gay- and lesbian-related books, periodicals--including the Mattachine Review and Der Kreis (The Circle)--and ephemera. Pan-Graphic Press also operated Dorian Book Service, which distributed gay-themed books. In particular, Pan-Graphic Press was partially responsible for the publication or distribution of notable publications, such as Helen Branson's Gay Bar and Virginia Prince's transgender-themed periodicals.
