Biographical / Historical

Maralin Niska (1926-2016) earned a Bachelor of English Literature from UCLA and went on to study voice at the Thornton School of Music at the University of Southern California and at UCLA. Her vocal career began in California in the 1950s, she debuted with the New York City Opera in 1967 and the Metropolitan Opera in 1970.
