Scope and Content
Series contains video recordings of performances, rehearsals, workshops, public service announcements, commercials, workshops, and repertoire selections from the Bella Lewitzky Dance Company and other dance groups and speeches, interviews, discussions, workshops, and demonstrations by its founder and others. The dates of the materials range from the mid-1960s until the Company’s closing in 1997, and are recorded in a variety of formats, including 8mm reel-to-reel film, more recent professional-quality reel-to-reels, consumer and professional Beta tapes, and VHS tapes. There are also some DVDs, most of which are digital copies of earlier recordings. The series is arranged alphabetically according to the title or subject printed or written on the recording medium or its package.
